Todd Places Sixth At All-America Golf Classic

Jarin Todd was one of two non-Division I golfers invited to compete
EL PASO, Texas-  Jarin Todd fired a final round 71 on Tuesday to finish in a tie for sixth place at the 34th Annual Western Refining College All-America Golf Classic at El Paso Country Club.  The Sonoma State senior was one of just three golfers to shoot at or under par in all three rounds.  He was two-under for the tournament.

Todd (69-71-71--211) was just four strokes back of the individual medalist, Mike Van Sickle of Marquette.  He finished in a tie with Kevin Foley of Penn State (72-69-70--211) and Charlie Holland of Texas (71-69-71--211).

The two-time defending NCAA Division II national player of the year, Todd was one of just two non-Division I golfers competing in the prestigious event.  Henrik Norlander (72-72-68--212) of Augusta State was the other.

Mike Van Sickle of Marquette won individual medalist honors on the sixth playoff hole over Trent Leon of Oklahoma State.

Each university that has a player participating in the tournament will receive a $1,000 scholarship.  Over the past 33 years, the Sun Bowl Association has donated over $625,000 to collegiate golf through this scholarship program.

Todd will rejoin the Seawolves to begin the spring season in February.
