LOS ANGELES, Calif-  Cal State San Bernardino's Kaitlin Hartman scored with 5:32 remaining in the fourth quarter to break a 7-7 tie and it held as the Coyotes defeated Sonoma State 8-7 in the first consolation semifinal of the 2008 WWPA Championships.  With the loss, the Seawolves will take on Cal State Monterey Bay in the Seventh Place game tomorrow at 11:30 am.

It was a tight affair throughout with the largest lead being a 3-1 Coyote advantage in the first quarter.  Sonoma State came back to take a 4-3 lead on an Emily Pearce goal and they'd lead 5-4 heading into the locker room.

The teams would trade goals throughout the third quarter, ending with a 5-meter goal by Ashley Hayes with 2:56 remaining.  The teams would each have a 6-on-5 opportunity before Hartman's winner.

Seven different Seawolves scored goals in the game.  Lysa Lombard was credited with nine saves.
