WALNUT CREEK, Calif- One week after being named the California Collegiate Athletic Association Men's Basketball Player of the Week, Sonoma State University sophomore Steven Pratt has been named to the All-CCAA First Team. It was announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.

The 6-4 native of Pleasanton has been instrumental in leading a very young Seawolves team into this week's CCAA Championship Tournament, starting with an opening round game at Humboldt State tonight. Pratt, who led the team in scoring this season, is sixth in the conference in the same category, averaging 14.2 points per contest. He recorded his first double-double of his career in Wednesday night's victory over UC San Diego with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Pratt was honored as the conference's player of the week after pouring in a career-high 32 points in a come-from-behind victory at Chico State on Feb. 19. He went 9-for-12 shooting from the floor and 14-of-17 from the free throw line that night. Pratt has converted 80.9 percent of his throws from the charity stripe, making 127-of-157 attempts.

In addition to his solid shooting performances night in and night out, Pratt leads the team in assists with 87, the fifth best mark in the CCAA this season. He handed out a career-high eight assists in a 77-58 pounding of Chico State on Jan. 16.

Humboldt State's Zac Tiedeman was honored as the conference's Most Valuable Player. Other top honors include Newcomer of the Year Marquel Hoskins (San Francisco State), Freshman of the Year Davion Berry (Cal State Monterey Bay) and Coach of the Year Greg Kamansky (Cal Poly Pomona).
