LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz.
--  Spencer Heller fired a 69, her best-ever round in an NCAA postseason event, to trail the leader, Tarleton State's Jacqueline Lau, by one stroke after the first of three rounds at this week's NCAA Division II Women's Golf West Super Regional, hosted by Grand Canyon University at The Wigwam in Litchfield Park, Arlz.  As a team, Sonoma State trails Tarleton State by 16 strokes and is in eighth place out of nine teams with 36 holes to play.

Tarleton State (291) and St. Edwards (292) are separated by just one stroke atop the team leaderboard, followed by Grand Canyon (296), Cal State Monterey Bay (298) and Central Oklahoma (304).  Midwestern State and Texas A&M are tied at sixth place with a score of 306, leading eighth place Sonoma State (307) and ninth place Northeastern State (317).

Sonoma State will begin the second of three rounds on Monday, starting at 7:50 a.m.  Live stats are available by clicking here or going to golfstat.com.
