Seawolves Shutout Mustangs For First Win

Erin Kramer earned her second singles win of the year.
POMONA, Calif. - The Sonoma State women's tennis team got its frist win of the season, blanking Western New Mexico, 9-0,  Friday afternoon in Pomona.

The Seawolves (1-8) dropped only one set in the 9-0 sweep. Sonoma State got wins from Stephanie Luk  at No. 1 singles 6-4, 6-3; Raquel Gottfried at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-4; Amy Belsher at No. 3 singles; 6-0, 6-2, Erin Kramer at No. 4 singles, 6-2, 6-1; Alexis Webb at No. 5 singles 6-2, 2-6, 10-6, and Casey O'Connor at No. 6 singles.

SSU also earned points from the doulbes teams of Gottfried and Kramer (No. 1), Webb and Luk (No. 2) and O'Connor and Belsher (No. 3).

Sonoma State is back in action tomorrow when they travel to Bakersfield to play CCAA foe Cal State Bakersfield at 12:00 pm
