STOCKTON, Calif- Sonoma State dropped a close contest to the University of the Pacific on Saturday afternoon in Stockton. The Tigers won 8-7 to pick up their first win of the season and improve to 1-4. The Seawolves fall to 1-3 on the season.
The Seawolves scored the game's first goal under a minute in, but then they saw the Tigers score four straight to close the first period up 4-1. The teams traded goals in the second half before the Seawolves scored two and held UOP scoreless in the third.
SSU went ahead in the fourth, but the Tigers came back and got the winning goal from Alex Kutac with a minute left.
Laurel Stricklin and
Samantha Mullins each had two goals for SSU.
Lysa Lombard was credited with six saves in goal.
The Seawolves return to action next Saturday when they face Santa Clara.
