FAIRBANKS, Alaska -- Sophomore
Madison Burroughs led a quartet of Seawolves in double digits with 12 points on Friday afternoon as Sonoma State picked up a 72-69 win over Northwood University at the Mt. McKinley North Star Invitational in Fairbanks, Alaska.
With the win, the Seawolves improve to 4-2 on the season while the Timberwolves fall to 3-2.
Burroughs was one of several Seawolves to turn in an impressive all-around game. She finished her day with 12 points, eight rebounds, and four assists.
Taylor Acosta was just one rebound short of a double-double with 11 points and 9 boards.
Hannah Sourek had 11 points and seven rebounds while
Jerrica Crosby contributed ten points.
As a team, the Seawolves shot 38.8% from the field and had a 43-38 rebounding advantage on Northwood.
Sonoma State concludes their Alaska trip on Saturday when they take on the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
