ROHNERT PARK, Calif. — The Sonoma State Seawolves only led their opponent for a total of four seconds Friday night, but those four seconds proved plenty as SSU completed a stunning 65-62 comeback victory over Cal State Monterey Bay in the final moments of their contest.

Trailing 62-61 with 18 seconds on the board, the Seawolves inbounded and Lewayne Grant dribbled up the court as his team searched for a bucket to take the lead and end the game.Grant shared a pair of passes with Mason Phillips before Phillips took the ball and drove to the net.
Five seconds remained as the junior guard tossed a layup toward the hoop which missed its target. However, in an attempt to block, Otters' Brian Garrett pushed a hand into Phillips' face sending the Seawolves to the free-throw line. Each shot went in, giving Sonoma State a 63-62 lead with four seconds remaining. Armani Nicolis drew a foul in the final second, and allowed the home team to walk off with a 65-62 victory.
Nicolis led the Seawolves throughout the game, putting together a 24 point performance, nine of which came in the Seawolves' final run.
"I was feeling pretty confident," the 6-5 guard admitted after the game. "My shot was going in [during] warmups and I made a couple in the first half and then towards the end of the half they started to put their center on me. At that point I just saw the green light and coach and my teammates were just telling me to go."
While Nicolis shined in the comeback victory, 13 other Seawolves joined him on the court during the match, contributing 21 bench points over the course of the night.
