Volleyball Senior Night in The Wolves Den

ROHNERT PARK – Senior night in the Wolves Den recognized senior Morgan Annala, Annala appeared in her 67th career match Saturday night, including her 22nd match this season. Named to the CCAA second team the last two seasons… as a junior led the team in blocks with 105 (averaging about .9 a set) and was named to the CCAA All-Academic Team for her success in the classroom. Throughout the past four seasons, Annala has tallied 439 kills… 143 blocks… 549 points… and 61 assists in her career. 
 
In Annala's final appearance the Seawolves saw it's season come to an end with a 3-0 (25-21, 25-18, 25-17) loss to Cal State East Bay. 
 
SET BY SET: 
Sonoma State took a 6-2 lead in set one, two ties and one lead change before the Pioneer ran off with a 21-16 lead, eventually extending to 25-21 for a set one win over the Seawolves. Sonoma swung a match-high .258 hitting percentage in set one with 13 kills. 
 
In a back and forth the second set that saw five ties and four lead changes, Cal State East Bay claimed six of the final 10 points to win set two 25-18. 
 
The Pioneers took hold of a 10-5 lead over Sonoma State before the Seawolves regrouped with four straight points to make to 11-10 Pioneers. The score went back and forth, tieing three times before Cal State East Bay strung six together to put themselves on top 25-17 to win in three.

- Ashleigh Phelps recorded a season-high two assists and 16 digs
- Amy Trephan (12) and Tate Battistini (11) led the team in kills
- Jenna Miller notched 37 assists 
 
Sonoma States 2018-19 season finished 8-19 overall and 4-14 in the CCAA.
