RENO, NEV.- To start the new year Sonoma State Track & Field headed back to the University of Nevada to participate in the Silver and Blue Invitational. Halle McDaniels and Ariyah Ford got things started for their team with the duo taking first and third in the weight throw. McDaniels dominated the field throwing for 16.74 meters which was over a meter further than the second place finisher. Ford's throw of 15.20 meters was able to secure a third place finish giving Sonoma two of the top three finishers.
