During Eric's freshman season at Chico State, his best finish came at the 2008 Grand Canyon Invitational. He would place 2nd overall in the tournament and would also be named a 2008-2009 CCAA All-Academic award winner. Eric's most successful season with the Wildcats came during their 2010-2011 campaign. Eric had a 72.9 strokes/round average which was good for second on the team. He posted one tournament victory at the 2011 Coyote Classic as well as 4 top 10 finishes. He would end the year being named to the GCAA /PING All-West Region team. Frazzetta Action Chico StateEric's senior season for Chico State also brought some championship experience. The Wildcats would make an impressive run all the way to NCAA National Championship where they placed second in May of 2012.

Eric states that he joined the Seawolf coaching staff to be able to share his experiences as a collegiate and a professional golfer. "Helping young student-athletes be able to reach their full potential and dreams is one of my main goals as a coach" (Frazzetta). Upon the 2020-21 golf season, Eric will join forces once again with Val Verhunce to assist him with the SSU women's golf program. This will be Eric's first full season with the women as he will look to contribute to the overall success of these two programs at SSU. The men and women's golf programs have combined for 12 NCAA Tournament appearances in the last 7 seasons.

Eric has traveled and played golf in 22 states and 3 additional countries to add to an impressive playing resume for the young assistant coach. "The competitiveness not only with other people but within yourself. Being able to challenge yourself to keep getting better even when you're by yourself is one of the great things about golf" (Frazzetta). Despite no competition in the fall 2020 season, Eric states that helping their student-athletes build solid foundations during their time away is key for immediate success when competition resumes. Head coach Val Verhunce and Eric Frazzetta have also placed an increased importance on their student-athletes performance in the classroom while in a virtual setting. Learning effective strategies to manage their time at home will have a positive effect on their golfers in the classroom and in their training regimen.
