Trisha McCormick is in her fifth season season as the assistant softball coach at Sonoma State University in 2014.  In addition to her softball duties, Trisha also oversees the strength and conditioning program for many of SSU's 13 intercollegiate teams.

On the softball field, McCormick was instrumental in helping the Seawolves to a program-record 43 wins in her first season in 2010, then 111 more wins in each of the past three seasons, to go along with two CCAA tournament championships and four NCAA tournament appearances as the assistant coach at SSU.

Prior to coming to Sonoma State, served as the assistant coach at Whittier College alongside head coach Jennifer Bridges, helping the Poets to a 24-18 record in 2009 and their first ever conference tournament appearance in school history.

As a student-athlete, Trisha spent four years at the University of La Verne in La Verne, Calif. and earned Second Team All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) honors. She also graduated Cum Laude with departamental honors from La Verne.

Prior to her career with the Leopards, she was a two-sport athlete at Sunny Hills High School in Fullerton, Calif. where she earned First Team All-League honors in softball and Second Team All-League accolades in volleyball.  Trisha was a two-year captain in both sports and was also a four-year scholar athlete.

McCormick has a USAW Level 1 Club Coach Certification.
