Annie Roeser is entering her third season as the head assistant coach for the Seawolves in 2010-11.
Prior to coming to Sonoma State, Roeser was the assistant coach at Solano Community College. During the 2007-08 season, she helped the Falcons claim the first of three consecutive Bay Valley Conference titles, after posting an impressive 14-0 conference record. The Falcons also placed three student athletes on the BVC First Team All-Conference, all three of which moved on to NCAA D-II schools the following year. In addition to her on-court coaching duties, Roeser also served as the recruiting coordinator for the Falcons, bringing in a recruiting class that would go on to repeat as conference champions for the next two seasons.
Roeser began her coaching career at Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington during the 2006-07 season. While she was there, Northwest, a member of the NAIA Cascade Conference, played an impressive non-conference schedule including Division II members Western Washington, Seattle Pacific, and St. Martin’s.
As a student-athlete, Roeser spent four years playing point guard at the College of Idaho in Caldwell, Idaho. A three-time scholar athlete, she also represented the college community as the president of an on-campus organization called The Peer Counselors. She was recognized by the college, being selected as a Student Ambassador in 2004-06.
A native of Marsing, Idaho, Roeser graduated from Homedale High School. As a two-sport prep athlete for the Trojans, she won multiple all-conference awards in both volleyball and basketball. A 2002 recipient of the Sports Illustrated “SAMMY” award, Roeser graduated with highest honors in addition to serving as student body president.
A graduate of the College of Idaho with a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy, Roeser earned her Master’s Degree in Sport Management from the University of San Francisco.
