Christopher Ziemer may have had two different careers at Sonoma State, but they were both great.

The youngest of the four Ziemer brothers, Christopher got to Sonoma State in 1990 as a freshman and turned in one of the finest freshman seasons in school history.  With 10 goals and 12 assists, Ziemer finished with 32 points, then seventh best all-time at SSU.

In 1991, Christopher's brother Marcus was named the head coach of the SSU men's team.  It was a true family affair as Marcus ended up coaching his three younger brothers: Andrew, Benjamin, and Christopher.  Not only was it a great story, but the Ziemers made it an incredible team as they went 18-4-2 and made it to the Division II National Championship game.  Christopher helped guide the team when he again had 12 assists, which was tied for second-best mark in SSU history.  He earned First Team All-American honors for the first time in '91.

After six years away from the program, Ziemer returned in 1997 at the ripe age of 26 and picked up right where he left off.  A Second Team All-American and First Team All-Region pick in '97, Ziemer socred eight goals and had three assists, helping lead the team to an NCAC Championship.  For his play he was named NCAC Player of the Year.  In 1998, he had another All-Region season and he added another prestigous trophy to his collection, CCAA Male Scholar Athlete of the Year.

Christopher Ziemer is second all-time in assists with 29.  He is also seventh in points with 77 and ninth in goals with 24.
