HOUSTON, Texas- The Sonoma State golf team improved by six strokes over yesterday's performance, but the Seawolves still find themselves 19 strokes off the lead after shooting a 286. The Seawolves are currently at 18-over for the tournament, which reached its halfway point on Thursday. Single rounds will be played on Friday and Saturday.
Georgia College & State University moved into the team lead with a team score of 272 on Thursday, eight under. The Bobcats are five strokes ahead of second place Indianapolis with two rounds to play.
Chris Galvin had the best performance of the day for the Seawolves, shooting a three-under 67.
Jarin Todd and
Patrick Bauer were each two over (72) on Thursday, while Jacob O'Keefe and
Kyle Hopkins struggled at five and nine over, respectively.
For the tournament,
Jarin Todd is currently 19th at 69-72--141. Galvin is two strokes behind, at 76-67--143.
