Todd Moves Up To Third; Seawolves Finish 16th

HOUSTON, Texas-  The Sonoma State men's golf team carded a 288 on Saturday to finish 16th at the NCAA Division II Championships in Houston, Texas.  Junior All-American Jarin Todd shot a four-under 66 to move all the way up the third place individually. 

The Seawolves ended the tournament 36 strokes behind the winner*.  The Seawolves posted rounds of 292, 286, 301, and 288.

Todd, the reigning Division II Player of the Year, shot 69-72-72-66--279 for the tournament.  He finished just one stroke behind the leaders, Jude Eustaquio of Florida Southern and Jeff Goff of USC-Aiken.

Patrick Bauer was even (70) on Saturday.  The freshman finished the tournament in 45th place. 

Despite the disappointing finish at nationals, the Seawolves turned in a remarkable season.  The squad was ranked No. 1 or No. 2 in the nation for the entire spring season and they captured their first ever CCAA and West Region championships. 

Final Results

* West Florida, North Alabama, and St. Edward's finished in a three-way tie atop the team leaderboard.  The results of the playoff were not known at the time of this release.
