David Adler Earns JSR All-American Honors

David Adler has played solid defense to go with a .373 average this year
David Adler did not commit a single error in 2008
ROHNERT PARK, Calif-  Sonoma State senior David Adler has been named a First Team All-American by the Jewish Sports Review.  Adler, named the national defensive player of the year last month, helped lead the Seawolves to a third place finish at the NCAA Division II Championships in Sauget, Illinois.

A second baseman from Thousand Oaks, Adler spent two seasons with the Seawolves.  This past season he batted .337 with 36 runs scored and eight stolen bases, but his most amazing accomplishment was his flawless defensive performance.  In 219 chances in the field, Adler did not commit a single error.  For this he was named to the national Gold Glove team and was singled out as the defensive player of the year for Division II.

The Jewish Sports Review All-America team is made up of sixteen players from both NCAA Division II and Division III.

Adler was also named All-CCAA and All-West Region.  He is the second player in SSU history to be honored by the Jewish Sports Review.  Darren Sack was a three-time JSR All-American from 2002-04.
