47 Seawolves Earn All-Academic Honors

ROHNERT PARK, Calif-  A total of 47 Sonoma State University student-athletes were named All-Academic during the 2007-08 season.  39 of them earned their honors through the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA), while eight others made the grade despite playing on a team that is not a conference member.

In order to earn All-Academic status, a student-athletes must maintain a grade point average of 3.4 or higher over a course load of at least 24 units.  They also must be a letter winner on one of the Seawolves' 13 intercollegiate athletic teams. 

Nine Sonoma State teams compete as members of the CCAA, but three (men's tennis, water polo, and women's golf) are independents.

ROHNERT PARK, Calif-  With the 2008-09 season just over a month away, now is a good time to look back on the success that met each and every Seawolf team last year.  The Seawolves won two CCAA championships, three west region championships, and enjoyed high national rankings in what turned out to be one of the best all-around campaigns in school history.

ROHNERT PARK, Calif-  The Sonoma State University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, in association with the Amateur Softball Association of America (ASA), is pleased to announce that Seawolf Field will play host to the 2008 USA Softball National Team's "Bound 4 Beijing" Tour.  Team USA will take on a regional All-Star team put together by ASA on May 18, 2008 at Seawolf Field on the campus of Sonoma State University.

ROHNERT PARK, Calif-  Associated Students Productions is excited to present the Harlem Wizards in a one time only, blow out competition against the Sonoma State University All-Stars featuring a show to astound and amaze the audience.  The show will take place on Saturday, April 26th at 7:00 pm at Seawolf Gym on the Sonoma State University campus.
