ROHNERT PARK, Calif- Members of the Seawolves men's basketball team and women's cross country team took time out of their schedules on Sept. 24 to visit the Children's School at Sonoma State University located on the Rohnert Park campus.
With the help of Associate Athletic Director
Yvonne Burbank, the SSU Children's School organized the Family Fun Festival for all of the children and parents of the school.
"The Children's School is a vital part of our campus community," Burbank said. "The fall festival is a way for the children of SSU's students, faculty and staff to enjoy the change of the season and get to know other families on campus."
The men's basketball and women's cross country teams were in attendance to participate in several activities with the children. The kids were able to sit down at some face painting stations and get their face painted and they also had the chance to play some basketball with a portable basketball hoop against some of the Seawolves.
"Seeing our team interact with the children was great," associate head men's basketball coach
Rich Shayewitz said. "The SSU Children's School is such a great place. To see the look on the children's faces as our players interacted with them was priceless. I think we made a few more fans of the Seawolves."
