CLAREMONT, Calif- Sonoma State continued their weekend road trip to Southern California with a 6-3 win over Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday in Claremont. The Seawolves, ranked 36th in the nation, improve to 6-7 on the season.
Sonoma State got out to a solid start in doubles play, winning at No. 1 and No. 3 to take a 2-1 advantage into singles.
By winning four of six singles matches, the Seawolves closed the door on the Sagehens.
Connor Olson was the team's lone double winner as he took matches at both No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles.
The Seawolves did particularly well at the bottom of the ladder as
Drexler Dy,
Scott Gaynor, and
Stewart Hutton all won handily at the Nos. 4-6 positions.
The Seawolves meet Cal Poly Pomona on Sunday to close out their three-match trip to the south land.
