GOODYEAR, Ariz- The Seawolves slipped two spots in Tuesday's final round, to finish fourth in a field of 17 at the GCU Spring Invtational at Palm Valley Golf Course in Goodyear, Arizona. Freshman
Spencer Heller stayed consistent, shooting her second straight 78 to lead all Seawolves with a tenth place finish.
Heller's 78-78--156 put her one stroke ahead of
Brittany Carrera, who finished 15th in 78-79--157.
Chelsa Helget posted a 78-82--160 (25th),
Tara Mortimeyer was at 80-84--164 (46th), and
Tess Russell rebounded from a rough Monday with a fantastic Tuesday (91-74--165, 51st).
The Seawolves shot 627 as a team, to finish two strokes back of Cal State Monterey Bay (625) and four behind host Grand Canyon (623). Tarleton State ran away with the team title with a 592, a full 31 strokes ahead of second place.
Next up for the Seawolves is their own tournament, to be hosted at Fountaingrove in Santa Rosa on April 19th and 20th.
