BOX SCORE
ROHNERT PARK, Calif.-  For the second straight year, the Sonoma State women's basketball team will see their season extended with a trip to the CCAA Championship Tournament.  By virtue of a 66-54 win over Cal State San Bernardino on Wednesday night, the Seawolves punched their ticket to the conference tournament, where they will compete as either the No. 7 or No. 8 seed.  Sonoma's record goes to 11-14, 9-12 CCAA while the Coyotes fall to 9-16, 8-13 CCAA.

Sonoma State used a solid all-around effort on Wednesday night, limiting CSUSB to just 35% shooting and out-rebounding them 41-29.  With one game left in their regular season, the Seawolves will learn their playoff destiny on Friday.  If they are the No. 8 seed, they will play at UC San Diego.  If they finish seventh, they could face one of a half dozen teams as there is much left to be decided.  Cal State East Bay and Cal State San Bernardino are in the mix with Sonoma for the final two spots.  East Bay did not play on Wednesday.

Wednesday night saw the Coyotes grab the early lead.  However, their advantage wouldn't last long as Sonoma used a 15-6 run midway through the first half to build up a ten-point cushion.  By the end of the half, they'd extend their lead to 12 at 34-22.

Cal State San Bernardino had trouble cutting into the Seawolves' lead in the second half as the Seawolves kept the margin in double digits until late.  The Coyotes would pull to within six with 6:31 to go, but following a quick timeout, the Seawolves reeled off four straight points and would not be seriously threatened again.

The Seawolves shot 47.6% from the field, their third-highest mark of the season.  It was a balanced scoring attack leading the way for Sonoma with Taylor Vigil (11), Jaclyn Bisordi (10), and Alysa Ito (10) all in double digits.  #Aly Conway would be right behind with nine points.  Elizabeth Day came off the bench for a game-high seven rebounds.

The Coyotes got 14 points from Eliza Dy and Jaslyn Cosey.

Sonoma State will host the top-ranked team in the country, UC San Diego, on Friday in their regular season finale.  The Tritons will arrive in town following their first loss of the season as they were dealt a 74-73 setback by Humboldt State on Wednesday.
