Offense Continues Hot Hand In Third Consecutive 3-0 Sweep

TURLOCK, Calif. -- Three Sonoma State women's volleyball players recorded double-digit kills, including a double-double performance from Madelyn Densberger with 10 kills and 15 digs, contributing to a 3-0 win (25-16, 25-19, 25-17) over Stanislaus State on Saturday night at Fitzpatrick Arena in Turlock.

The Seawolves have won five of their last six games, four of them by way of a three-set sweep, improving to 7-3 this season and 3-1 in conference play.  The Warriors, who won their first seven games of the year, have lost four of their last five in dropping to 8-4 overall and 2-4 in the CCAA.

Among those with double-digit kills were Caylie Seitz, who led all players with 15, and both Densberger and Kelsey McIntire added 10; it was a career-high for McIntire.

With the aforementioned 15 kills, Seitz has now moved into a tie for second place on Sonoma State's all-time kills list with 1,429, matching the career effort of former SSU student-athlete Christina (Difani) Lore.  Seitz now needs 82 more kills to break the career kills record of 1,510 set by Ally Sather from 2009 to 2012.

Sonoma hit over .300 for the fourth time this season, recording a .358 for the night, the second-highest output of the season.  McIntire was the hottest hitter of the night, smashing 10 kills in 19 attacks, erring just once for a .474 clip.

Courtney Seda had a team-high 23 assists, falling one dig short of her own double-double with nine.  Kaitlyn Connolly made 13 digs.

Sonoma State will play four of their next five matches at home, beginning with a Tuesday afternoon date with CCAA-newcomer Cal State San Marcos.  First serve is set for 4:00 pm in The Wolves' Den.
