Sonoma State University Athletics

A three-time All-American at Sonoma State, Deanne was the NCAA Division III national champion in the heptathlon with a then-record 5,039 points in 1983.  The next year, she earned All-America honors in the 400-meter hurdles and the high jump.  She still holds the school records for the heptathlon and high jump and ranks second all-time at SSU in the long jump and 400-meter hurdles.
