Sonoma State University Athletics

One of the most honored athletes in SSU history, Mike is the school's only two-sport All-American.  He was voted first team Kodak All-American in football in 1986 and earned NCAA Division II All-America honors in the hammer throw in 1987.  A three-time SSU Male Athlete of the Year, Mike was named winner of the Everett Shelton Award as the top male student-athlete in the NCAC in 1987.

Mike played three years of professional football in the CFL and is still nationally ranked in the hammer throw.
