Seawolves Pick Up Win No. 1 Against CSUSB

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif-  Led by 15 points from Chelsey Armacost, the Sonoma State women's basketball team picked up their first win of the season, 68-51 over previously unbeaten Cal State San Bernardino on Saturday night in San Bernardino.  The Seawolves improve to 1-3, 1-1 CCAA.  CSUSB falls to 3-1, 1-1 CCAA.

Sonoma State got out to a 29-21 halftime lead, and for the first time this season, they were able to hold on to a lead in the second half.  The Seawolves shot 45% in the game and held the Coyotes to just 35% shooting and one three-pointer.

In addition to the 15 points from Armacost, Danae Wellander had 12 points and nine rebounds.

Vanessa Wilt had 13 points and eight rebounds.

Sonoma State will try to keep the good times rolling next weekend when they host the CCAA/GNAC Challenge in Rohnert Park.
