Genny Anderson picked up a double-double and
Lauren Redfield scored 15 as Sonoma State beat Cal State L.A. 67-55 in CCAA women's basketball action on Saturday evening in Los Angeles. The Seawolves improve to 6-8, 5-5 CCAA while the Golden Eagles drop to 3-11, 1-8 CCAA.
After a first half that saw eight ties and numerous lead changes, Sonoma State went on a 7-2 run to enter the break up five at 32-27. The Seawolves quickly pushed the lead to double digits in the second half and cruised in with a 12-point win over the struggling Golden Eagles.
Genny Anderson finished with ten points and 11 rebounds on the night.
Lauren Redfield came one rebound away from her second double-double in as many weeks as she posted 15 points and nine boards.
Chelsey Armacost also had 13 points as the Seawolves bounced back in fine form from a tough loss to Cal State Bakersfield on Thursday.
Cal State L.A. got 15 points from DeAnna Butler.
The Seawolves return home next weekend when they host Chico State (Thursday) and Cal State Stanislaus (Saturday).
