ROHNERT PARK, Calif- Sonoma State fell to UC Davis 21-3 in the first game of a split water polo doubleheader on Sunday morning in Davis. Roxanna McEwen scored twice, but for the Seawolves (0-2) it was the second consecutive 21-3 defeat to start the season. The Aggies, ranked 10th in the nation, improve to 2-0.
After Sonoma State got out to a 3-2 lead midway through the first quarter, the Aggies went on a 19-0 run to end the game.
In addition to McEwen's goals, Samantha Mullins found the net for Sonoma State.
