Sprinkling Leads Women's Golf Team At First Event

SEASIDE, Calif-  The Sonoma State women's golf team completed their first-ever tournament, the GolfMart Lady Otter Invitaional, on Tuesday afternoon at Laguna Seca Golf Club.  Nicki Sprinkling had a nice debut, finishing in 35th place after shooting 86-87--173.

The Seawolves brought five golfers to the event.  Megan Hillard was the second Seawolf finisher, shooting 89-94--183 and placing 58th.  Jessica Santora (99-100--199), Kristina Branch (109-100--209), and Katie Zechlin (105-120--225) rounded out the inaugural event for the SSU women's golf team.

Chico State won the team competition by thirteen strokes over Cal Baptist.  The individual champion, Malin Thornberg of Cal Baptist, shot 72-74--146.
