ROHNERT PARK, Calif. - The Sonoma State women's water polo team finished off a perfect weekend by pounding Cal Maritime 15-4 in the finale of the Seawolf Splash Tournament Sunday afternooon.
Jessica Scott recorded a hat trick to lead the Seawolves.
Sam Burchard and
Laurel Stricklin each had two goals. Tasha Thiele, Erin Coughlin, Caroline Barth, Alexandrina Brookbank,
Alexandra Burrows and Samantha Seminoff each had one goal.
Sonoma State (7-6) held a 9-1 advantage at the break and kept its food on the pedal. The Seawolves outscored the Keelhaulers 6-3 in the second half.
The win was the Seawolves' fourth consecutive and put the Seawolves over the .500 mark for the first time all year.
Sonoma State is back in action next Saturday when they play in the Slug Fest hosted by UC Santa Cruz in Santa Cruz.
