Softball Pounded By Humboldt State, 7-1

Melissa Calvin hit a home run for SSU's only run of the game
ARCATA, Calif-  Sonoma State fell to No. 9 Humboldt State 7-1 in the first game of the Al Cooper Tournament on Saturday in Arcata.  The Seawolves fall to 13-18 on the year.

Humboldt broke the game open early with a three-run first inning.  The lead was pushed to five, then six, then finally seven in the sixth before SSU got their lone run on a homer by Melissa Calvin in the seventh inning.  Lindsay Emmel was tagged with the loss as she falls to 5-9 on the year.  She went three innings before handing it off to Brittany WIlliams who also went three.

SSU faces Western Oregon later on Saturday.
