Emmel K's 12 In T.O.C. Win Over Vikings

Lindsay Emmel shut out Western Washington on Friday afternoon
ROHNERT PARK, Calif-  Lindsay Emmel struck out 12 batters to lead Sonoma State to a 4-0 win over Western Washington on Friday in their second game at the Mizuno Tournament of Champions in Turlock.  The Seawolves go to 17-23 on the year.

SSU got all the runs she would need in the first inning when leadoff hitter Claire Hiney led off the game with a home run.  SSU would also pick up an insurance run in the first on an RBI single by Shyrle Hawes.

Lindsay Emmel allowed just three hits and struck out 12 on her way to her sixth win of the year. 

The Seawolves play three games at the tournament on Saturday.
