TURLOCK, Calif-  Sonoma State fell to Grand Canyon 2-0 in their first game at the Mizuno Tournament of Champions in Turlock on Saturday morning.  The loss dropped the Seawolves' record to 17-24 on the season.

Grand Canyon picked up the only run they would need in the second inning when Malia Simmons blasted a solo home run to left field.  The Antelopes scored again in the fifth inning.

SSU had little success against GCU starter Michelle Farrell, who scattered five hits over seven innings. 

The Seawolves play BYU-Hawaii at 11:30.
