THOUSAND OAKS, Calif- Cal Lutheran outscored Sonoma State 5-0 in the fourth quarter to emerge with a 10-8 WWPA water polo victory on Thursday afternoon in Thousand Oaks. The loss sends the Seawolves to 16-14 on the year as they get ready for this weekend's Lion Invite in Los Angeles.
Sonoma State led throughout, taking an 8-5 lead into the fourth quarter. CLU then scored five unanswered goals to get their first ever victory over the Seawolves. SSU entered the game 8-0 all-time against the Regals.
Jenna Bole and Roxanna McEwen led Sonoma State with three goals apiece. CLU's Ashley Bentz led all scorers with four. Kaitlyn Brownrigg turned in 11 saves in goal.
