ROHNERT PARK, Calif- The Sonoma State water polo team dug themselves a hole they couldn't get out of on Saturday afternoon at their final game of the LMU Lion Invitational. The Seawolves lost 13-5 to Cal State Bakersfield to finish the tournament 1-3 and drop their overall record to 17-17.
The Seawolves fell behind 6-0 in the first half before finally finding net 25 seconds into the second half on a goal by Laurel Stricklin. Christina Maher also recorded two third quarter goals, but SSU could never get closer than 9-4.
The Seawolves are back in action on April 20th when they host Cal State East Bay.
