Seawolves Smoke Argonauts In Three Straight

ROHNERT PARK, Calif-  The Sonoma State volleyball team was firing on all cylinders on Sunday afternoon as they swept Notre Dame de Namur by scores of 30-21, 30-13, 31-29.  It was the second win of the day for the Seawolves as their record evens out at 2-2.  The Argonauts drop to 1-3.

Kristy Sather was impressive in her second game as a Seawolf, turning in a game-high 12 kills and a .345 hitting percentage.  Rikki Buckshnis (10 kills, .471), Kaylee Aizenstadt (9 kills, .500), and Marianne Fox (10 kills, .242) were also standouts.

Guiding the offense and coming near a triple-double of her own was sophomore Lindsay Brown.  The Napa native finished with 37 assists, 14 digs and seven kills.  Taylor Manton continued her stellar tournament play as well with 21 digs.

The Seawolves were at their best in game two when they hit .607 by virtue of 17 kills and zero errors in 28 attempts. 

The Argonauts got 10 kills and 18 digs from Marissa Miller in a losing effort.

Sonoma State hits the road next weekend to compete in the Hawaii Invitational.
