DAVIS, Calif-  Sonoma State dropped their season opener to the UC Davis Aggies 17-7 on Saturday at the Schaal Aquatics Center on the campus of UC Davis.  The Seawolves got two goals from newcomer Sarah Watt in the defeat.

SSU also picked up goals from Lauran Zambruski, Samantha Burchard, Emily Pearce, Andrea Brookbank, and Melissa Pence.  Lysa Lombard played the whole game in goal for the Seawolves.

The Aggies, a perennial national power, are currently ranked 8th in the nation.

The Seawolves play Fresno Pacific later on Saturday, also at UC Davis.
