PHOENIX, Ariz- The Sonoma State men's tennis team rolled to their second shutout in as many days on Saturday in Phoenix, defeating Mesa State 9-0. The Sewaolves even their record at 2-2 with the victory.
Sonoma State opened the day with three quick victories in doubles.
Andy Muesse and
Brett McNulty won at No. 1, 8-3.
Jeremy Heckley and
Logan Bailey won at No. 2, 8-2 and
Quan Vu/
Connor Olson got the win at No. 3, 8-2.
In singles, none of the matches were close as the Seawolves proved their superiority. Vu was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at No. 4 and
Logan Bailey and
Jeremy Heckley each won handily, 6-0, 6-1 and 6-1, 6-0 respectively.
Andy Muesse picked up his first victory of the year at No. 1 singles, winning 6-0, 6-2.
The Seawolves continue play in Phoenix on Sunday.
