ROHNERT PARK, Calif- Sonoma State kicked off the 2008 Seawolf Splash on Saturday morning with an 8-3 win over Cal Lutheran, lifting their record to 2-4. The Seawolves fell to the Olympic Club later in the day in exhibition play.
The Seawolves led Cal Lutheran just 3-2 at the half before exploding for five goals in the third and fourth quarters.
Samantha Burchard led the charge with three goals while teammate
Samantha Mullins pitched in with two.
The Seawolves lost to the Olympic Club 11-8 later in the afternoon. Burchard, Mullins, and
Laurel Stricklin all had two goals for SSU.
Play will continue tomorrow, starting at 7:30 am.
