Seawolves Swept By Coyotes On Monday

Megan Ochylski had a homer and a double in game two
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif-  The Cal State San Bernardino offense exploded for 21 runs in a doubleheader sweep of Sonoma State on Monday afternoon at Coyote Softball Park.  The Coyotes won game one 12-0 in five and then held on for a 9-4 win in the nightcap.  The Seawolves see their record drop to 5-5, 1-5 CCAA.  The Coyotes improve to 11-11-1, 4-2 CCAA.

After sitting through several days of rain in San Bernardino, the teams finally hit the field on Monday.  The Coyotes dominated in game one, scoring four runs in the second, five in the third, and three more in the fourth to take a 12-0 mercy-rule game.

Brittany Simao was the lone Seawolf with two hits in a six-hit attack.  Tori Beaudette had two home runs and seven RBIs for the Coyotes.

CSUSB got out to another early lead, 5-0 after two in game two before the Seawolves generated some offense.  With two runs in the fourth, SSU pulled to within three, but another four-run inning by CSUSB in the bottom half pushed the lead back to seven.

Megan Ochylski had a double and a home run on her way to four RBIs.  Kayla Ledford and Simao each had two hits.

The Seawolves return to action this weekend when they head to Richland, Washington to compete in the CWU Tournament.
