No. 10 Seawolves Take Opener From Coyotes

Mark Pestorich had three hits to continue his torrid hitting streak
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif-  The Sonoma State offense banged out 21 hits, 19 of them singles, in a 14-9 series opening win over Cal State San Bernardino in CCAA baseball action on Friday afternoon at Arrowhead Credit Union Park in San Bernardino.  It was the twelfth consecutive win for the tenth-ranked Seawolves as they go to 18-1 overall and stay perfect in CCAA play at 7-0. 

Matt Means went five innings to get the win and improve to 4-0 on the year.  He allowed four runs and five hits, including one in the bottom of the first inning that brought to an end his no-hit streak at 14 2/3 innings.

Every Seawolf to get an at bat had at least one hit and four had three.  Mark Pestorich was one of them as he went 3-for-6 to up his batting average to .490.  Kyle Jones, Kris Haycock, and Ian Bridges also had three hits in the game. 

The series will continue on Saturday with a doubleheader.
