Samantha Mullins had three fourth quarter goals to lead Sonoma State past Chapman University 11-6 on Friday afternoon at the LMU Invitational in Los Angeles. The win brings the Seawolves back to .500 at 7-7 overall and 4-4 in Western Water Polo Association play.
Tied at five after three quarters, the Seawolves went on a scoring rampage in the fourth, scoring six times to win going away. In addition to Mullins' three strikes, SSU got goals from
Holly Armijo,
Jessica Scott, and
Melissa Pence.
Lysa Lombard had 12 saves to earn the win in goal for the Seawolves.
SSU continues play at the tournament on Saturday.
