LOS ANGELES, Calif- Sonoma State netted four first quarter goals to beat Colorado State 7-5 in their final game at the LMU Invitational in Los Angeles. The win leaves the Seawolves at 8-8, 5-5 WWPA.
The win avenged a 12-8 loss to the Rams at last weekend's Slug Fest. The Seawolves have now alternated wins and losses over their last nine games.
Samantha Burchard scored a hat trick to lead the Seawolves on offense.
Lysa Lombard was solid in goal, holding the Rams to just two goals through three quarters before the Rams scored three in the fourth.
The Seawolves will play a pair of games in Thousand Oaks tomorrow as part of the Cal Lutheran Invite.
