Box Score

POMONA, Calif- It was a tale of two different matches for the Seawolves on Saturday against Cal Poly Pomona.  After a hard fought doubles play, taking two out of three against the Broncos, Sonoma State ran into a ferocious Pomona assault, dropping five of six against the Broncos in singles play.  Jessica Harris won her singles and doubles matches for the No. 45 Seawolves, who fall to 6-5 this season.  No. 28 Cal Poly Pomona improves to 8-3.

Sonoma State took the early lead through doubles play after the tandems of Haley Hickock/Harris (8-5) and Jeanette Peck/Stephanie Hoffmire (9-8) won the No. 2 and No. 3 matches, respectively.

Singles play, however, turned out to be a different animal as the Broncos jumped all over the Seawolves.  Harris salvaged the only win for Sonoma, taking the No. 6 match 6-3, 6-2.

The Seawolves return to action on Wednesday when they play host to Dominican in a non-conference slate.  First serve is scheduled for 1:00 pm.
