Seawolves' Win Streak Jumps To Five With Sweep Of Pioneers

HAYWARD, Calif. -- The Sonoma State volleyball team continued its success on the hardwood Saturday night, topping host Cal State East Bay in three sets (25-21, 25-17, 25-14) at Pioneer Gym in Hayward.

The Seawolves (9-4, 7-2 CCAA), winners of five straight matches, out-hit the Pioneers (5-9, 2-7 CCAA) .288 to .058 for the match, led by reigning CCAA Player of the Year Caylie Seitz, who had 16 kills and a .488 hitting percentage.

After a tight first set, the Seawolves took over the momentum and controlled both sides of the net en route to the sweep victory.

Sonoma State returns home for the next four games, beginning Friday night against Cal State Stanislaus at 7:00 pm, before playing seven of its final nine regular season contests on the road.
