Madelyn Densberger went for a match-high 11 kills on a .524 hitting percentage as the 22nd-ranked Sonoma State women's volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 sweep (25-14, 25-18, 25-13) over visiting San Francisco State on Friday night at The Wolves' Den.
The Seawolves push their winning streak to 13 games, improving to 17-3 overall and 13-1 in the CCAA. The Gators, meanwhile, fell to 10-12 (8-7 CCAA).
Sonoma hit no less than .300 in any of the three sets, averaging a .327 for the night while holding SF State to just .034. Densberger recorded another double-double with 11 kills and 10 digs and
Caylie Seitz, who is ranked third in career kills among active players in Division II, added to her program-record total of 1,554 with 10 on Friday night. She also hit .391 erring once in 23 swings. Defensively,
Kaitlyn Connolly had 15 digs to go along with Andrews' big night at the net.
For SF State, Jaclyn Clark led the way with nine kills, becoming the sixth player in SF State history to eclipse the 1,000-career kill milestone.
Sonoma State will go for 14 straight victories Saturday night when it hosts Cal State East Bay in The Wolves' Den at 7:00 pm.
