ROHNERT PARK, Calif. – A season record of nine team blocks was not enough to stop Chico State Tuesday night in the Wolves' Den. Sonoma State fell in four sets 29-27, 23-25, 17-25, and 12-25.
The Seawolves will host Stanislaus State next Tuesday, October 18 at 7pm.
In the first set there were 16 tied scores and six lead changes, making for an energy packed first set where the Sonoma came out on top. However, the Wildcats were able to out muscle the Seawolves in the next three.
Emily Papale had eleven kills, hitting .323, and lead the team in digs with 20.
Caiti Wiesner chipped in twelve kills and totaled a team high of 13.5 points.
Courtney Seda lead the team in assists with 23 and
Baelei Wiesner followed with 17.
Lexi Mudd had 14 digs on the night, respectively.
