Pomona, Calif. - A tough road test for the Sonoma State Seawolves began on Friday when they took on the Cal Poly Pomona Broncos in a doubleheader with implications in a very competitive CCAA race this early in the season. Down 3-2 going into the sixth inning of the second game, the Seawolves got a big swing of the bat from
Bryant Cid, as the junior doubled home two runs to give Sonoma State the lead for good en route to a 6-3 victory.
Cid went 2-for-3 in the game and also drew two walks from the leadoff spot. In addition to the crucial two-run double, he also stole two bases and scored a run.
Adam Manzer went 3-for-5,
Philip Ramos scored two runs and
Ryan O'Malley drew two walks to highlight the Sonoma State (7-10, 5-3 CCAA) offense.

In the opener, the Broncos got to
Ryan Luna with three runs in the first inning and pulled away late to hand Sonoma a 10-2 loss. O'Malley, Manzer,
