Seawolves Fall to Sharks; Split Tournament Play 2-2

DeTurk with Zuidema won their doubles match against HPU on Saturday.
KONA, Hawai'i – The Seawolves fell to #5 Hawai'i Pacific University 3-6 on Saturday evening, wrapping up their time at the Holua Tennis Challenge tournament. The Seawolves split their time at the tournament, going 2-2 with sweeps for both wins. After their time in Hawai'i, their season record stands 3-4.

"This is the best we have played against BYU and HPU, #1 and #5 in the nation, in all my years here. SSU played a high-level tennis. Against BYU we were 2-1 up after doubles and against HPU we played very competitive singles," said head coach Joaquin Lopez.

Amanda Zuidema and Jenna DeTurk were successful in doubles play against Hawai'i Pacific, winning 8-4.
Zuidema also won her singles match 6-2, 7-5 and Karlee Budge was also victorious 6-2, 6-0.
