CARSON, Calif. - The Seawolves finished their road series against CSU Dominguez Hills with a win of 12-8. Sonoma State rises 24-21 overall and 19-19 in conference play while the Toros fall 14-35 overall and 12-26 in CCAA play.
The Seawolves had 12 runs on 8 hits.
Joshua Montelongo was 3 for 3 with 2 home-runs and a double and eventually totaled 5 RBI's.
Daniel Caresio had 2 RBI's and a triple.
Sonoma State's defense held the Toros to only 8 runs on 16 hits, forcing Dominguez Hills to strand a total of 12 runners over the course of the game.
Sonoma jumped ahead 9-3 by the fourth inning. Their lead was highlighted by two homers by Montelongo,
Jackson Leslie scoring on a throwing error and Caresio's triple.
The Seawolves scored next in the sixth inning off of a wild pitch, a sacrifice fly by Montelongo and am RBI single by
Nathan Mann.
Their opponent made a late run and scored three in the bottom of the ninth but it was not enough to catch the Seawolves.
